Oh, the places you’ll go

World Destinations Assignment 24729 (Elements 3.1, 3.2, 3.3)

Due Date: Friday 27th September 2013                          Weighting: 50%


“Congratulations!  Today is your day.  You’re off to Great Places!  You’re off and away!”

In this assignment, you will be researching World Tourist Activities, Attractions and Events. This information will be recorded on your blog. You will choose five countries and research seven activities/attractions and events per country.  That makes a total of 35 entries onto your blog.

As well as getting a good overview of what the world has on offer, this is also your opportunity to research places that interest YOU!

Step One:
Choose five countries (one from each WTO Region) that you want to research.

Step Two: 
Research Tourist Activities, Attractions & Events

In each country you will research information about:

-          2 constructed attractions
for example: museums, monuments, historic buildings

-          1 natural attractions
for example: waterfalls, lakes, mountains

-          2 activities
for example: excursions, boat cruises, nature treks, city tours

-          2 events

 

For each attraction, activity and event -

Google map or directions
A minimum of three features
What there is to see and do, best time of year to go, duration, opening hours, price range, facilities/services available
Website(s) where you sourced your information
Other useful links.
At least two photos
Logos, Youtube or Vimeo videos, mp3 audio
Why you want to go there
As much personal comment as you like J

Step Three:
Blogging your research

For each attraction, activity or event, you will create a blog entry using blogger.

Make sure you add the must include criteria above.
